osx - Java Version Error while installing Apache Tomcat -
i know question asked many times never found answer relates question. trying install apache tomcat server on macbook pro. answers answered windows , eclipse. want install , configure server using terminal. problem happening @ last step of installation. getting below error while installing server. know problem java version @ run time, can't fix it. note: have updated java version latest one. please help.

you you've got latest version, you're using java 1.6_051. not latest version of java.
you need java 7 - see this page how install java 7 on mac osx.
if can't install java 7 on machine reason, you'll need use different version of tomcat. tomcat 8 requires java 7, shown on "which version" tomcat page. might wish consider using older version of tomcat anyway, given tomcat 8.0 still @ rc-1 level - typically stick stable version unless you're willing take on pain of pre-releases.
