css - Place DIV Between & Above Two Lower DIVs -
i designing webpage requires @ least 3 divs , possibly 1 container div. need 1 div on left, 1 in middle, , 1 on right. seems simple enough need 2 side divs underlap middle div.
+-----------------------+ +-----------------------|-----+ +---------------------------+ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | o | | | | | | v | | | | | | e | | | | 50% width | | r | | 50% width | | | | l | | | | | | | | | | | | y | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | +-----------------------|-----+ +---------------------------+ +-----------------------+
i saw stackoverflow answer, can't seem translate horizontally: http://jsfiddle.net/pwwqm/1/
please help.
the trick use float property outer divs side side: float:left;
think want, anyway:
your diagram shows gutter between outer divs, didn't create 1 since write outer divs each 50% of width.
