ios - If an app works on the iPad 2 is it necessary to test it on the iPad mini? -

it may seem want test app on devices apple offers: ipad 2, ipad mini, , ipad 4. expensive or difficult obtain 3 devices , keep them around testing.

the ipad 2 , mini both have 512mb ddr2, use 1ghz dual core a9, dual-core powervr sgx543mp2 , have same screen resolution. seems same hardware together.

is there difference between these 2 devices cause problem app, other obvious physically smaller screen size?

honestly depends on app is. said, screen size different, may have small effect on usability of app.

other that, don't know. sorry.
